Alastair Jakeman
Deacon
Alastair has been part of YEC since attending as a student in the early 80's. He works in the NHS and, with his wife Faith, leads a Home Group.
Daniel Rozday
Deacon
Daniel is married to Lizzy and they have three children. As YEC's treasurer, he helps manage the church finances. He also enjoys the piano, playing five-a-side football (badly) and electrical engineering.
David Dowling
Deacon
David has been part of YEC since it started. He is currently one of the Safeguarding leads. He is into his 40th year working as a postman and in his spare time enjoys watching football and is attempting to walk the Wainwrights in the Lake District.
Ed Hambleton
Elder & Pastor
Ed is the pastor of YEC. He has previously been involved in church planting in New Zealand, founded a Christian housing charity in York, and worked in the Prison Service. Ed is married to Laura and has three children. He loves all kinds of sport, especially cricket and football.
Gordon Frame
Elder
Along with his wife, Janet, Gordon has been a member here at YEC for the past 25 years. He has two children, Rob and Hannah, who serve God in Newcastle. Other than Christ, church and family, Gordon’s passions are Bob Dylan, Newcastle Utd and Shakespearean tragedy.
Neil Hulse
Elder
Neil is a part-time pastoral assistant at YEC. An architect by profession, he moved to York in 2005 and joined the church leadership shortly after. He also chairs The Besom in York, a charity helping those in need across the city.
Phil Williams
Elder
Phil has been in York since coming to the city to study. He's married to Heather and is Dad to three boys. He works as a structural engineer, and enjoys windsurfing and coaching cycling in his spare time.
Hannah Lewis
Children's Worker
Hannah has had 20 years of experience as a volunteer in Kid's Ministry in 3 different countries, ever since she became too old to be in the youth group. She loves writing, acting and reading books and also enjoys ice-cream. She can be recognised by her mis-matched fingerless gloves.
