Walking Bus
We understand arriving at a new church can be a bit daunting! We run a walking bus from both York Uni and York St John’s to Millthorpe School for the first few weeks of term.

Students @ YEC
We love serving our students at YEC, and aim to provide a number of ways to develop or deepen your faith as you move through your university journey. We pray that you may grow to know and love Jesus more through your time at uni, and that getting involved with church life at YEC is both a support and encouragement.
Dinner and Discussion
Join other students from your year for a meal and teaching from the Bible in an evening of good food, good conversation and healthy discussion.
Student Lunch
We love to provide Sunday lunch for our students. Houses across the city welcome groups of students for tasty food and good conversation. Great for getting to know the wider church family!
Dig Deeper
Spend a Sunday afternoon looking deeper into what the Bible says about topical issues.
Student Membership
If you’ve made the decision to make YEC your church while you’re at uni, why not become a student member? Being a member of YEC shows your commitment to the church and allows great opportunity to serve with us.
Adopt-a-Student
Uni can feel a long way from home at times, so we aim to give our students a home from home by providing ‘adoptive’ families for each student. This gives students an excellent support network outside of uni life and fosters strong relationships across the church family.
Homegroups
Homegroups are available across the city and provide a great place to get to know a smaller part of the church family. We meet twice a month for a Bible study and prayer, and often a meal as well.
